• July 24      After several months of preparation, a 100g communication kit stored in a small rucksack containing one satellite transmitter and two ground transmitters was settled on the very first black stork. A female bird named Kristyna had been captured after several fails in her nest in Brdy hills, 13 km far from the Rozmital pod Tremsinem town. Kristyna flew away right after the operation. However, the ground transmitters' signal revealed she still stayed quite close to the nest.

  • July 29       A black stork male named Viktor was given the communication kit near the Rakovnik town.
